My Hotel Recommendations

With family living far away I am always being asked where a good place to stay is. I usually will recommend Tilghman Resort as it’s one of the finest North Myrtle Beach hotels in the area and has an outstanding array of amenities. So, knowing my family is coming to visit and my thoughts turning to the holidays, here are some area events I’ll share with you so you’re sure not to miss them! We have plenty of events close to the North Myrtle Beach hotels my family will be staying in.

Nights of a Thousand Candles at Brookgreen Gardens runs from Friday, December 2, 2011 through December 17, 2011, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thousands of candles illuminate garden paths as musicians play, carolers sing, and you experience the holiday magic only “Nights of a Thousand Candles” brings. This annual event has become a holiday tradition when the gardens become a wonderland of lights and candles and outstanding entertainment. Dinner catered by Inlet Affairs is available in addition to admission prices.

The much-loved Christmas in the Inlet Holiday Home Tour is once again taking place in Murrells Inlet. Eight stunning homes in historic Wachesaw Plantation will be open on the tour. The tour will be open for one day only on Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Ticket price is $25 advance per person and includes admission to the eight homes on the tour. Ticket sales will be limited, so call 843-357-2007 now to reserve your tickets. Gather your friends to get into the holiday spirit. Spend the day of touring these beautiful homes and stop to have lunch at any of our fine Inlet restaurants (lunch price not included in ticket cost).

The Myrtle Beach 2011 Christmas Towne is held on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The Myrtle Beach tree lighting celebration with appearances by Santa, live entertainment, and other fun and festive holiday activities.

Finding a Myrtle Beach Condo Rental

Treat yourself to a Coastal South Carolina vacation and you’ll have fun while getting that much needed time away to recoup. There are numerous beaches along the Grand Strand coastline – 60 miles worth, in fact. It’s where I love to come because there are plenty of Myrtle Beach condo rentals with fabulous amenities available. I prefer Myrtle Beach as it’s a happening place where all the action is.

The fun-filled events, festivals and recreational activities available that take place on our South Carolina beaches, make Myrtle Beach condo rentals a popular place for families to stay.

When I knew I was going to Myrtle Beach I went online and made my reservations right away. You should book your rental, no matter what type, ahead of time if at all possible. If you want to take your chances, you may find Myrtle Beach condo rentals by driving around but that could be tricky. I didn’t want to spend any part of my vacation driving around looking for a place to stay. The old fashioned way of driving around looking for a rental in your price range before driving to the next place is just not smart anymore, especially with the price of gasoline being what it is these days!
